The Old Man's Dream

I was reading Sean Covey's "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" (one of the best books ever) and found something worth sharing with everyone, it's a writing from an Anglican bishop. I hope you learn something from this cause I actually did get something out of it. This has something to do with change, personal change.

When I was young and free my imagination had no limits,
I dreamed of changing the world...
As I grew older and wiser I realized the world would not change

And I decided to shorten my sights somewhat and
change only my country, but it seemed immovable.

As I entered my twilight years, in one last
desperate attempt, I sought to change only my family,
those closest to me, but alas they would have none of it.

And now here I lie on my death bed and realize..
That if I'd only change myself first, then by example
I may have influenced my family, and with their encouragement
and support I may have bettered the country, and who knows
I may have changed the world.

Happy Hearts Day :)

Maligayang araw ng mga puso ;)

According to Wikipedia, Valentine's Day is a holiday held on Feb. 14 where companions or couples celebrate love or affection. It's actually Saint Valentine's Day, but as you can see it's too long and serious for a greeting, so they changed the word "Saint" with "Happy" to make it sound better. People usually use hearts, doves, or cupids with arrows as symbols for the said day. Isn't that cute? hehe.

God Bless everyone :D
-Love, Andi :)
